A quick post to help using the site.

To start a new thread - Go to "Discussion Forum" in the top links bar, click on the relevent category and click on "New Thread". Alternatively if you already viewing a thread in the correct category you will see "New Thread" at both the top and bottom of the page.

There are a number of buttons below this entry box to help format your posts - They are pretty intuitive but hover over them to see what they do.

Posting Links - Highlight the text you wish to make into a link, click the URL button below this entry box and enter the website link.

Linking external pictures do the same but click the IMG button below

Likewise for adding emails use the MAIL button

To quote some text again highlight it and click the QUOTE button

You can also format your text bold, italics, underline it, center it or make it small.

There's a ton of random smilies/emoticons to use but I know you'll only be using a few: :) :o B)

On every one of your posts there is an EDIT button to correct or self moderate.

To REPLY in a thread simply use the quick reply box at the bottom or click on REPLY. You can preview what it looks like before posting if you wish. If there is no reply option then the thread is locked (like this one).

Your profile

You can add an avatar to your profile (to appear next to forum posts). Simply click Edit Profile from the top left panel. Half way down is an option to upload an avatar (must be stored on your local device). It needs to be a maxium file size of 14.65kB and a maximum physical size of 100x100 pixels. Loads of websites will allow you to resize such as: www.shrinkpictures.com. Keep the avatars clean!

You can also add a signature to appear on posts, add in your own website which will appear as a hyperlink below your posts and change your password.

Submit Your Own News

Advertising an event? Got some local league news? Submit it as a News Article using the link in the top naviation bar. Give it a title, select a category and type in your news. Once submitted an admin will do any necessary editing and it will appear on the front page.
